Profile summary:
We are looking for an experienced IT & System admin engineer to join our ITS team with experience in cloud infrastructure and systems administration.
Role and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities incudes:
• Systems Administration: Perform routine maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of cloud environments and on-premises systems.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage AWS-based infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, ELB, NLB, Route Tables, Networking and other AWS services.
• Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CLI to streamline infrastructure deployment and management.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security best practices, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Set up monitoring tools (such as CloudWatch, Nagios, Prometheus etc.) and optimize system performance, resource utilization, and cost-efficiency. Monitoring alerts and resolving those.
• End-User management: Attend user issues reported on internal ticketing portal. Resolve them within defined SLA.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps, and network engineers, to support application deployment and resolve issues.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
General Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent
• Typically, 3-5 years of experience in System Administration, IT infrastructure management, with a focus on AWS cloud services
• Knowledge and proficiency in AWS services is a must, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and Lambda
• Understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• A proactive approach to identifying and solving technical challenges
